I received a question today from a member about the workout for today...the fact that it was tough on her wrists/palms. While today's workout WAS a workout that placed more pressure on the wrists, and future workouts will do the same for other joints. I wanted to share my answer to her with you, just because I think others may have thought the same, but not asked....
Funny you say that, and the benefit of doing the same here in Phoenix is that I can relate because I had the same talk with a couple of people today. Yes, you will build up your resistance to the exercise and strengthen your wrists, but there are a few things you can do to help. 1 - you did it, modify the exercise so the resistance is less, by going to your knee you did it...reduced the weight, reduce the pressure, perfect! 2 - consider doing it on a yoga mat folded over 2 or 3 times (or similar pad). 3 - invest in a good pair of weight training gloves with padding in the palm...it will probably help the pressure you were feeling on the palm and may help with future exercises.
